With the explosive growth in the gaming landscape in the last decade we’re starting to see new ways of making a living through game playing emerge.

As of today we can identify two main ways to make money through gaming: the first based on randomness, and the second based on skill.

Random based games are preferred by older generations of gamers as it’s the legacy choice.

Think of casinos and their endless rows of slot based games in which the spin of a wheel is the only determining factor behind your chances of making some dough. Even though some seasoned gamblers will swear upon their lives there is some strategy behind this there is nothing more than randomness.

Skill based games are the choice of younger and future generations.

Ever since the introduction of high scores into arcade machines in the late 80s more and more gamers gravitated towards these types of games as they give you a more engaging and more immersive experience but most importantly more rewarding.

More recently, with the rise of eSports, the reward became something more than the ego boost of seeing your initials displayed on the screen of an arcade machine, nowadays you can make a living (a lavish one, if you’re amongst the elite) by playing CS:GO, Fortnite, Apex, etc.

At Experimental we think there’s still something missing and that’s what we aim to bring to the table with the next version of CryptoWars: a way for every gamer to be able to generate some profit just by playing without having to devote a full career into it (something that we all would love to do but only a few can).

How do we plan to do this? For the past months we have been working on CryptoWars v2, that will not only include a new completely revamped game mechanic, but will also bring us closer to our vision by introducing an ecosystem in which players can get something back for playing an real time strategy game.

More information on the later will be revealed as we move closer to the release date so stay tuned for further development updates as the future is bright for E11, CryptoWars and gamers from all around the world
